North Shore Mountains, Vancouver

I lived in Vancouver for six years, and while many days the mountains remain shrouded by fog and clouds, the days when they’re on display make up for all the days they’re hidden.
I know when I lived in England last year, I definitely missed being next to water and mountains (yes, I know England is an island, but I was living about 1.5 hours away from the coast!).

I took this photo in Kits, and it was certainly one of my favourite vantage points in the city. Many visitors to Vancouver stay downtown, but Kits is definitely the place to get a good feeling of what Vancouver’s really like. Kits Beach is a superb spot for people-watching (seriously, you’ll see everything), and the restaurants and bars in Kits totally cater to the university to 35 year old crowd.

With views like this, you can’t go wrong, can ya?!
