I’ve wanted to go to Pastis for ages. I have a major crush on French bistros, and know that Pastis is a legend in the Meatpacking District of NYC. The service was lovely, and the meal was epic. We sat in the bar area, so it was busy and loud and totally frenetic – felt like we were in a Parisien brasserie. I obviously had to get the moules frites (done in Pernod – om nom nom!), preceded by ridiculously good calamari, and all washed down with a lush cabernet. Mmmmmm good times in NYC indeed.
